It’s a relationship that most of us claim to endeavor, but only a few live up to. It’s a word which is defined and perceived in different perspectives by each individual on this earth.
“Friendship”
Some perceive it as a consociation among individuals; a few apprehend it as a selfish relationship and a handful of us epitomize it as a bond or a commitment - an unconditional commitment. A commitment made to someone whom one trusts, admires, accredits and banks on. It’s a commitment of a nature which demands you to abide by your words by heart and soul. It compels you to adhere to the spirit of the relationship in any circumstances.
The description may sound philosophical but it does hold significance when one has a firm assent to fulfill the commitment. The fulfillment may demand one to put everyone aside and to put that friend above anyone else in the world. More important than family, friends, relatives, colleagues, peers and probably far more important than ‘You’
Such a relationship should be so important that one dares to put it above all his/her relationships. This may sound a little difficult and challenging but Trust me! It would be a feeling to cherish in one’s heart for a lifetime to fulfill that commitment and making someone so very important.

Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together and knowing this we should never injure a friend even in jest. As quoted by George Washington "True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation” so give time and after one has given so much time to someone we should value them.

what i m writin' is what i truly feel atleast at this stage of life....and i strongly feel that perspective keeps changin' with time.
maybe few yrs back i would have wholeheartedly endorsed sudhir's views on frendship....but as of now...i try to keep my relation on a vry rational grounds....perhaps thats why ..no gf..lolz.....
as far as commitment is concerned...i m phobic bout it ...i have few close n intimate frenz and the only commitment between us is that........we don't expect even little things frm each other...we do a lot of big favours to each other.......but we don't expect anythin' ....perhaps thats the source of strength in our relation...b'coz all of us love our freedom more than anythin' else in world...
in short u can say for me at this stage of life......my individuality stand above every relation and everythin' in general or "jaan hai to jahaan hai". ...sorry if i hurt anyone's feelings...

The best way I can think of describing friendship, and this comes from personal experience - It's when you spend your entire day with someone, hardly talking but yet feeling their presence. Finally when your day ends and it's time to go home, you say "WOW, I couldn't have have made this day better"
hmmm........those were lovely words.... but i think that kind of a friendship where you put a friend above all other relationships is quite uncanny.........plus being highly individualistic....the idea of keeping a relationship above all is a distant probability.....
